COVID-19 Update: 3 new COVID-19 cases reported on June 26

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 3 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Sunday after testing 3,610 patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 2 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 613,556 with 19,434 deaths and 592,530 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention.
