
The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.
The Ministry reported 2,897 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 28,480patients within 24 hours. 7 patients have died due to the disease while 1,250 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 568,564 with 19,338 deaths and 524,880 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Germany, Turkey, Italy and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 7:36pm CET, 21 February 2022, there have been over 423 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.87 million deaths.
