
The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.
The Ministry reported 2,346 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Tuesday after testing 22,732 patients within 24 hours. 4 patients have died due to the disease while 1,703 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 590,237 with 19,372 deaths and 536,477 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Germany, Turkey, Italy and Spain, according to the World Health Organization.
Globally, as of 5:37pm CET, 1 March 2022, there have been over 435 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.95 million deaths.
