COVID-19 Update: 1,819 new cases with 4 deaths reported at 8 P.M. on March 3

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 1,819 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 21,571 patients within 24 hours. 4 patients have died due to the disease while 1,407 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 593,958 with 19,379 deaths and 541,648 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals until 3rd March.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Argentina and Iran (Islamic Republic of)  according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:38pm CET, 3rd March 2022, there have been over 438 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.96 million deaths.
