COVID-19 Update: 174 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on January 30

The Ministry of Health reported 174 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Sunday after testing 9,285 lab specimens within 24 hours. No COVID-19 positive patient has died while 92 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 535,254 with 513,193 COVID-19 patients discharged from the hospitals.

And there have been 7 consecutive days that there is no new death of COVID-19 positive patient till 30th January. COVID-19 vaccine is being injected to those of priority groups in regions and states for prevention and control of the disease. Up to 29th January, 2022, a total of over 22.10 million people have been vaccinated. Of them, over 18.84 million people have been vaccinated two times and over 3.25 million people once.

Therefore, a total of 40.95 million doses of COVID-19 jabs have been vaccinated. The people are urged to receive the COVID-19 vaccines, and those who have already received the first dose are encouraged to go to the nearest immunization centres and receive the second dose on the scheduled immunization date or near the due date, as well as to actively participate in the vaccination activities.
