COVID-19 Update: 123 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on January 16

The Ministry of Health reported 123 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Sunday after testing 7,703 lab specimens within 24 hours. One COVID-19 positive patient has died while 117 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 533,144 with 19,302 deaths and 511,211 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
