
The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.
The Ministry reported 1,173 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 20,024 lab specimens within 24 hours. 2 patients have died due to the disease while 1,709 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 599,619 with 19,391 deaths and 549,153 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
