COVID-19 Update: 1,173 New Cases with 2 Deaths Reported On March 7

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 1,173 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 20,024 lab specimens within 24 hours. 2 patients have died due to the disease while 1,709 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 599,619 with 19,391 deaths and 549,153 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals. 

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Germany, Turkey, Italy,  Spain, Argentina and Iran (Islamic Republic of), according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:13pm CET, 7 March 2022, there have been over 445 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.99 million deaths.
