COVID-19 Report: 64 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On June 6

Ministry of Health and Sports reported 64 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Sunday after testing 1,077 lab specimens within 24 hours with 2 new deaths and 3 COVID-19 positive patients have been discharged from hospitals on 6th of June. COVID-19 confirmed cases in Myanmar have reached 144,317 with 3,225 deaths and132, 452 COVID-19 patients discharged from the hospital until 8 p.m. on 6th of June.

The public’s cooperation is requested to address wearing mask systematically when it comes to go outside, frequent washing hands and social distancing to control the spreading of COVID-19, MOHS instructions for office/department staff and everybody and every family’s active cooperation as the COVID-19 preventive measures including giving notice and reminding each other and family plan.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Turkey, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, Italy, Argentina and Germany, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:07pm CEST, 6 June 2021, there have been over 172 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 3.7 million deaths, reported to WHO.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
