COVID-19: MoHs: No Confirmed Case In Myanmar As Of 16th March

The Ministry of Health and Sports issused news release on COVID 19 on Monday.

It stated that according to the situation report of the World Health Organization on 15th March, the coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 144 countries around the world and there were 153,517 confirmed case and 5,735 deaths globally. The globally death rate is 3.8 %.

In China, there were 81,048 confirmed cases and 3,204 deaths.

Outside of China, there were 72,469 confirmed cases and 2,531deaths in 143 countries.

In regard with COVID-19 disease in Myanmar from 31st January to 16th March, 2020 at 12 noon, there were 131 Persons Under Investigation-PUI and 2 suspected patients, altogether 133.

Out of them, 123 patients were found with no COVID-19 disease and 10 are laboratory result pending.

The situation of PUI and suspected cases in the respective hospitals of Regions and States from 31st January to 6th March are 54 in Yangon Region, 21 in Shan State, 26 in Mandalay Region and 32 in other States and Regions, altogether, 133.
