Courtesy Call: President Receives Honorary Chair of Nippon Foundation

Honorary Chairman of the Nippon Foundation, Mr. Yohei Sasakawa, paid a courtesy call on President U Min Aung Hlaing at the Reception Hall of the President’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday afternoon.

During the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on the current situation in Myanmar, where the government elected by the people continues to move the nation firmly along the path of democracy, as well as efforts to achieve internal peace; the Nippon Foundation Honorary Chairman's readiness to assist from all possible angles to support Myanmar's internal peace process and the Nippon Foundation's upcoming assistance for rehabilitation efforts in flood-affected areas of Laymyethna Township of Ayeyawaddy Region and offering courses on earthquake-resistant building construction at technological universities in Myanmar.
