Courtesy Call: NDAA Delegation Pays Courtesy Call on President

A delegation led by U Htein Lin, Chairman of the National Democratic Alliance Army (NDAA), paid a courtesy call on President U Min Aung Hlaing on Tuesday afternoon at the Reception Hall of the President’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, the NDAA Chairman stated that the NDAA Mongla has maintained the policy of "Peace, Unity, and Development" for over 30 years while sustaining good relations with successive governments. He emphasized that the NDAA will maintain continuous engagement with the government to strengthen mutual trust and cooperation, aiming to foster state stability and border region development.

Furthermore, he urged the President to continue supporting the socio-economic advancement of local ethnic populations in the Mongla area and reported that recent talks between the NDAA and the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) yielded positive and constructive outcomes.

In response, the President highlighted ongoing efforts to achieve perpetual peace in alignment with the 2008 Constitution. He outlined potential avenues for ethnic armed organizations to participate constructively in state and regional development, reassuring the delegation of the government's commitment to supporting the comprehensive development of the Mongla area.

The meeting concluded with cordial discussions between the President and the NDAA Chairman regarding sustained peace and stability, the expansion of border trade operations, and enhanced collaboration toward national stability and economic growth.
