Counter Terrorism: Tatmadaw continue operations along Kalay–Tamu Road

Tatmadaw columns have continued operations along the Kalay–Tamu Road to regain control from armed terrorists.

On July 30, security forces advancing from the Tamu side captured Witote , Titainyan , and Yan Tine Aung villages, while columns from the Kale side secured Tweeban village. Weapons, mines, and related materials were seized, and many insurgents were reported killed or retreated.

The armed groups had previously set up bunkers, checkpoints, and trenches inside villages, using local homes and public buildings as cover. Security forces are now working to reopen the Kalay–Tamu route, restore damaged areas, and carry out mine clearance to ensure safe return and livelihood for local residents.
