Cordial Discussion: Meeting with the Russian Speaker

Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, held a meeting with Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russian Federation Mrs Valentina Matvienko on May 8.

During the meeting, the Speaker expressed her deep condolences for the losses and damage caused by the recent powerful earthquake, and pledged that the Russian Federation will provide necessary assistance in the reconstruction efforts.

She also explained the initiatives that are being implemented in Russia, focusing on the protection and empowerment of women. She expressed her hope that Myanmar will also be able to participate in such initiatives related to women.

Daw Kyu Kyu Hla also expressed gratitude for the assistance and support from the Russian Federation, and it has been of great benefit to Myanmar people. They also discussed the potential for cooperation in the education and economic sectors between Russia and Myanmar.
