On April 19, a coordination meeting was held at the Shan State Government Office in Taunggyi to address additional needs for the rehabilitation efforts in the earthquake-affected areas of Inle, which suffered severe damage due to the Mandalay earthquake.

During the meeting, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung stated that weaknesses had been identified in the ongoing rehabilitation efforts for the earthquake-hit regions. He emphasized the need for on-ground implementation and called for collaborative efforts across relevant sectors, as necessary aid had already been allocated.

State ministers and the Shan State government secretary then provided sector-wise updates on the rehabilitation work being carried out in the earthquake-affected areas of Inle.

On April 20 at 1:30 PM, the Chief Minister and officials inspected machinery, construction materials, sheet pile driving equipment, purified water distribution for drinking, and relief supplies at the hotel zone jetty in Nyaungshwe Township, Kalaw District.

Then, they visited Kyar Taw Village in Nan Pan Town, Nyaungshwe Township, where they met with earthquake victims, offered words of encouragement, and urged local residents to cooperate fully in the rehabilitation efforts.

The Chief Minister and state ministers also distributed food supplies to the affected villagers, inspected the site for a temporary school building, and coordinated with relevant departments to address further needs.

Additionally, the Chief Minister and officials assessed the damage and ongoing repairs at Inle Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, which was affected by the Mandalay earthquake, and provided supplementary instructions to the concerned authorities.

After that, the Chief Minister and party reviewed the progress of the Lay Mile Gwe–Naung Htali–Nyo Mee–Naung Pa Nar Bwar–Lin Kwin–Htee Ree (Livestock Zone) Shwe Nyaung road section. They examined heavy truck traffic conditions and instructed officials to improve sharp bends and inclines, as well as to prevent road erosion, collapse, and landslides during the monsoon season.
