Coordination meeting: MoRAC UM attended the delivered a speech

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture, U Tin Oo Lwin, on May 13, attended and delivered a speech at the coordination meeting held at Office No. 31 of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw regarding the repair and renovation works related to the inspection findings of the Department of Building under the Ministry of Construction on the office buildings under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture. 

In his remarks, the Union Minister addressed the damages to the office buildings and stated that, in accordance with findings from the Department of Building under the Ministry of Construction, necessary repairs and new construction projects must be carried out.

He emphasized that the committee overseeing the inspection of safety and renovation of office buildings including those of union-level organizations and ministries had collaborated with the Ministry of Construction, Naypyitaw Council, and external building experts to conduct preliminary inspections.

He further instructed that plans for addressing the issues identified in the inspections of the ministry’s office buildings should be submitted and implemented by the respective departments.

Additionally, responsible officials and heads of departments in attendance discussed the current renovation status of Offices No. 31 and No. 35, construction conditions for staff affected by earthquakes, and the feasibility of repairing blue-grade staff housing according to departmental needs. Based on those discussions, the Union Minister provided guidance on the next steps and follow-up actions to be taken.
