Coordination Meeting: MOH held meeting with MMC, MDOC and MNMC

A coordination meeting with Myanmar Medical Council, Myanmar Dental and Oral Council, and Myanmar Nurses and Midwives Council was held on July 2, at the Office No. 4, Ministry of Health, Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, Union Minister for Health Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win, stated that over 1,200 new doctors and dentists will be appointed in July 2025. He emphasized the need for systematic procedures regarding their medical practice licenses.

He further stressed that the Myanmar Medical Council, Myanmar Dental and Oral Council, and Myanmar Nurses and Midwives Council must diligently scrutinize and issue medical licenses, specialist medical licenses, and nursing/midwifery licenses in accordance with the policies and guidelines set by the State and the Ministry of Health.

He urged them to prioritize these tasks to avoid any delays. Following the Union Minister's directives, the Deputy Minister for Health, Directors-General, and the respective Council Chairpersons discussed and presented on ongoing matters.
