Coordination Meeting: MoE organizes meeting for sports tournaments

A work coordination meeting on Inter-University, Degree College and College Football Tournament and the Education Degree Colleges’ Sports competition for 2022-2023 academic year was held at the Ministry of Education on Monday.

In the opening address, Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe said that Mandalay (Upper Myanmar Zone) and Yangon (Lower Myanmar Zone) were opened as the zone level of the Inter-education degree college sports competition on 31st January 2023. The sports techniques such as football (Men), volley ball (Men), volley (Women) and Sepak Takraw tournaments could be held at the zone level from 29th January to 9th February 2023.

The 8 zones have been designated as the Inter-university, degree college and college zone level from 1st to 5th February 2023 and the central level competitions will be held in Nay Pyi Taw. Officials from the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs called for cooperating in the respective sectors with unity.

Deputy Ministers for Education and for Sports and Youths Affairs gave a general round of discussions. Officials from respective Ministries discussed holding of Inter-University, Degree College and College Football Tournament and the Education Degree Colleges’ Sports Competition for 2022-2023 academic year.
