Coordination meeting: Meetings on organizing Union Day in Mandalay held

In honor of the 78th Union Day, which falls on February 12, 2025, a series of coordination meetings were held at the meeting hall of the Mandalay Region Government Office on Tuesday to ensure the successful organization of the 21st Mayor's Trophy Vegetable, Fruit, and Flower Exhibition and Competition. The meetings were attended by Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, members of the RegionĀ  government, heads of committees, and responsible officials from various working committees.

Initially, the Chief Minister delivered an opening speech at the coordination meeting aimed at successfully organizing the 78th Union Day Celebration at Mandalarthiri Sports Ground in Chanmyathazi Township. He emphasized that the Union Day celebrations would be held grandly at the national level and urged the leading and working committees to ensure there are no gaps in their assigned responsibilities. He stressed the importance of systematic coordination and collaboration among all parties involved.

Following this, the leading and working committees presented their reports and suggestions, which were then consolidated and coordinated by the Chief Minister.

Subsequently, a coordination meeting was held to ensure the successful organization of the 21st Mayor's Trophy Vegetable, Fruit, and Flower Exhibition and Competition, to be held in celebration of the 78th Union Day. The Chief Minister stated that the exhibition and competition would be held vibrantly at the Sinphyu Kan Ground in Chanmyathazi Township from February 12 to February 15. He urged the leading and working committees to fulfill their responsibilities as assigned and to work together seamlessly to ensure the event's success.

Additionally, Mandalay Region Minister for Development Affairs and Mandalay City Mayor U Kyaw San, explained the objectives of organizing the Vegetable, Fruit, and Flower Exhibition and Competition. He outlined the prize distribution plans for all competitions, the entertainment programs featuring musical performances by artists, and the division of responsibilities among the working committees. Members of the working committees also provided updates on the preparations for the exhibition and competition. The Chief Minister then facilitated discussions and coordinated the suggestions and reports presented.
