








Grade 5 and Grade 9 students sat for the English subject examination peacefully at the Basic Education Middle School (Branch) in Myothit Ward, Monywa Township on February 24. Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, accompanied by concerned officials, observed the examinations as part of efforts to encourage students and support the smooth conduct of the exams.
During the visit, the Chief Minister instructed examination supervisors and responsible officials to cooperate in ensuring proper healthcare arrangements for students during and after the exams. He also emphasized maintaining a noise-free environment, preventing electricity outages, ensuring traffic and road safety, strengthening fire safety measures, and coordinating among relevant departments to provide necessary services.
Later, Sagaing Region Investment Committee Chairman Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw and officials attended the Committee Meeting (2/2026) at the Region Government Office. In his opening remarks, the Chief Minister stressed the need for the Region Government and relevant departments to cooperate to attract new investments and ensure existing businesses operate smoothly without delay.
Then, Committee Secretary, Director of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration Daw Sint Sint Than reported on the implementation of decisions made at the previous meeting. The meeting discussed applications for investment permits, including tissue paper production and distribution, pig breeding and distribution, two- and three-wheeler motorcycle assembly and distribution, sales of air conditioners, TVs, refrigerators and related accessories, washing machines, soybean oil and sugar refinery operations, production and distribution of various types of sugar and lubricants in Sagaing Township, SKD-based motorcycle assembly, and proposals to increase capital investment. Committee members then coordinated on sector-wise responsibilities, and the Chairman outlined necessary requirements and coordinated the needs.
