Coordination Meeting: Drafting the SOP for reconstruction works

A coordination meeting was held on Thursday on approval of the Standard Operating Procedures for the use of machines and machinery during reconstruction of damaged infrastructures.

Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than said the Ministry has conducted the field inspection at the factories and workshops by forming the inspection teams for civil works and machinery. He stressed the need to consider the work processes on risk reduction for future disasters.

The attendees reported on the guidelines provided by the National Disaster Management Committee and Building Reusing and Reconstruction Committee, formation of the inspection teams on civil works, machine and machinery and monitoring and assessment as well as the findings during the inspection. The Union Minister then explained the facts to be included in the work processes for machinery maintenance works.
