Coordination Meeting: DMC held coordination meeting

The Coordination Meeting (4/2025) of the Disaster Management Center (DMC) was held at the DMC, led by the Vice Chairmen of the National Disaster Management Committee in Nay Pyi Taw on May 12.

First, Vice Chairman (1) of the Committee, Union Minister Lt. Gen. Tun Tun Naung, addressed the meeting, urging the relevant working committees to discuss the current operations they are carrying out and the future tasks that need to be implemented.

Next, Vice Chairperson (2) of the Committee, Union Minister Dr. Soe Win, provided a briefing on the ongoing rehabilitation efforts being undertaken for earthquake-affected communities and the government staff.

Following that, attendees gave updates by ministry on the completion status and further requirements for the construction of temporary shelters for staff, the acquisition and installation of container houses and prefabricated container offices on ministry-owned land for use as temporary housing and offices, and the implementation progress across relevant sectors.

In response to the reports, the Vice Chairmen provided guidance and coordinated measures to address the remaining needs.
