Coordination Meeting : Discussions on standardizing municipal laws

A coordination meeting on Municipal Laws and City Development Affairs Committee Laws was held on June 10 and 11 at the Ministry of Legal Affairs. Union Minister and Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo attended the meeting and said the meeting aimed to make municipal laws across regions and states more consistent.

Draft municipal laws and City Development Affairs Committee Laws were discussed. Officials from regional and state governments, Development Affairs Committees, and legal offices attended the meeting both in person and online. On the second day, representatives from the Development Affairs Committees of Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, and Mandalay continued discussions on standardizing municipal laws.
