Coordination Meeting: Ceremony for Int’l Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

A work coordination meeting for observing ceremonies to mark 35th International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking and incinerating seized drugs was held at the Shan State Government Office in Taunggyi on Friday.

At the meeting, Shan State Chief Minister Dr Kyaw Tun said that the incineration ceremony of the seized drugs will be held on 26th June like the previous years. The sub-committees comprising the relevant departments have been formed for the successful holding the ceremony.

He called on giving suggestions and recommendations on the requirements and strong and weak points of the previous years at the meeting. Chairman of Shan State Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control and the State Security and Border Affairs Minister Col Hla Oo and Secretary of the Committee the State Transportation Minister, Shan State Police Commandant Police Brig-Gen Tin Ko Ko made discussion and the respective sub-committees gave sector-wise reports.
