Coordination meeting: Central Comm. for field census supervision held meeting

Union Minister for Immigration and Population, U Myint Kyaing, who also serves as the Chairman of the Central Committee for Field Census Supervision, delivered the opening address at the Coordination Meeting (2/2025) of the Central Committee held at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on June 10.

In his opening remarks, the Union Minister and Committee Chairman highlighted the importance of ensuring an accurate and complete list of eligible voters as a foundational requirement for the successful conduct of a future multi-party democratic general election, which is the ultimate goal of the Government. He emphasized the need for accurate and complete data on the population aged 18 and above, to ensure the voter list is precise and to safeguard the voting rights of eligible citizens. He stated that this coordination meeting was being held so that committee members could collaborate and align their efforts during this preparatory period before the election takes place.

Following the opening address, members of the Central Supervision Committee including Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, Chief Ministers of Regions and States, committee representatives, Deputy Ministers who are committee members, and other responsible officials provided explanations on the work currently being undertaken and future action plans.

The Union Minister and Committee Chairman then offered necessary guidance, addressed the points raised, and delivered closing remarks to conclude the meeting.
