Constitutional essentials: Rakhine State CM observed the discussion program

The closing ceremony of a discussion program on "Constitutional Essentials" was held at U Ottama Hall in Sittwe Township of Rakhine State on February 24. The event was attended by Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, the Chief Justice of the State High Court, members of the state government, state-level departmental officials, civil servants, and invited guests.

During the ceremony, Chief Minister U Htein Lin stated that the discussion program focused on the history, nature, and provisions of constitutional laws. He noted that the state-level departmental officials and civil servants who participated showed great interest, actively engaging in discussions and taking notes. He emphasized that civil servants need to understand their country’s constitution and parliamentary laws, and must be prepared to fulfill responsibilities related to elections. He expressed hope that the knowledge gained from this program would enhance participants’ legal understanding and enable them to integrate this knowledge into their work, serving the nation loyally and diligently in their assigned duties.

Following this, Pro-Rector of the Computer University (Sittwe) Dr. Zaw Tun, who attended the discussion, delivered a speech expressing gratitude for the presentations and contributions made during the event. After that, the Chief Minister and officials warmly greeted and interacted with the attendees.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister and officials visited Basic Education High School No. 2 in Sittwe Township, where they observed students peacefully taking their exams, offering encouragement. They also inspected a solar-powered water pumping system installed within the school premises under a program initiated by the Rakhine State Government.

It was reported that in Sittwe Township, year-end examinations for basic education levels, from Kindergarten to Grade 12, are currently being conducted.
