Heads of State between Myanmar and China exchanged congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of China-Myanmar Diplomatic Relations, which falls on 8 June.
In his message, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing highlighted that the ties between two countries have been characterized by deep-rooted “Pauk-Phaw” friendship and close people-to-people bonds.
He expressed appreciation to the Government and people of China for the timely and generous humanitarian assistance extended in the aftermath of the recent earthquake in Myanmar. He also reiterated the deepest gratitude for China’s steadfast support for Myanmar’s efforts to achieve long-lasting peace and stability, national reconciliation, and socioeconomic development.
He stressed to look forward to continuing close cooperation and further deepen the existing bonds between the two countries, ushering in many more decades of strong, resilient, and mutually beneficial partnership.
Chinese President Mr Xi Jinping also expressed that in the past 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Myanmar, the Pauk-Phaw friendship has grown stronger amidst wind and rain.
The two countries adhere to the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistenceand the Bandung Spirit advocated by both sides, uphold good-neighbourliness and friendship, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and firmly support each other on issues related to our respective core interests and major concerns, which has set a good example of friendly interaction among countries.
Likewise, the congratulatory messages were exchanged between Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Premier of the Chinese State Council Mr Li Qiang.
In addition, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and member of the Chinese Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Mr Wang Yi exchanged the congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
