The provisions of the Constitution (2008) of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, which state that "every citizen has the duty to undergo military training in accordance with the provisions of law and to perform military service for the defense of the State," have been practically implemented.

In accordance with the People's Military Service Law, those who voluntarily and enthusiastically registered in People's Military Service Batch No. (4/2024) and diligently performed their duties for national defense and territorial stability and peace as worthy citizens have now completed their prescribed term of military service.

On August 12, ceremonies to present certificates of completion of people's military service and to award People's Military Service Badges as honors to these worthy citizens who have faithfully fulfilled their duties were held at respective regional military commands. The ceremonies were attended by Chief Ministers of regions and states, commanders and responsible officials from respective regional military commands, departmental officials, the people's military servicemen who have faithfully completed their prescribed term of military service, and their family members.

At the ceremonies, Region and State Chief Ministers and Regional Military Commanders delivered congratulatory speeches respectively. Afterwards, the Region and State Chief Ministers, Regional Military Commanders, and responsible officials presented certificates of completion of people's military service, People's Military Service Badges, and honorary commendation certificates to the worthy citizen-servicemen who had faithfully served and completed their prescribed military service term. They also hosted tea receptions and congratulatory luncheons for those attending the ceremonies and warmly greeted the worthy citizen-soldiers, it’s reported.
