Commemorative Reception: Royal Thai Armed Forces Day celebrated in Yangon

A reception in honour of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Day was held at the Novotel Hotel in Yangon on Monday evening. Lt-Gen Thet Pon of the office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Commander of Yangon Region Command Maj-Gen Nyunt Win Swe and their wives, senior military officials, ambassadors from Foreign Embassies in Yangon, diplomats and invited guests.

Lt-Gen Thet Pon and wife, senior military officers and invited guests were welcomed by Thai Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. MongkolVisitstump, Defense, Naval and Air Military Attaché and officials. The ceremony was opened with the national songs of the Repulic of the Union of Myanmar and Thailand.

A video clip on commemoration of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Day was shown and the Ambassador, Lt-Gen Thet Pon and the military attaché cut the commemorative cake marking the celebration. Later, the Ambassador and spouse and the military attaché hosted a dinner to those present.
