A Traditional Myanmar Fashion Show was held at the National Theatre in Yangon on Saturday to mark the upcoming Myanmar Women's Day on July 3.
The event was organized by the Yangon Region Women's Affairs Organization. Union Minister for Women's Affairs Dr. Thet Thet Zin attended the event and toured exhibition booths showcasing traditional Myanmar clothing and hairstyles.
The event also featured performances by students from the National University of Arts and Culture, popular singers, and traditional dance performances. Myanmar Women's Day is observed annually to promote women's rights and equality, recognize women's contributions in education, health, economic and social sectors, and encourage greater participation of women in national development.
