Commemorative Dinner: A dinner marking 76th Anniversary Shan State Day

A dinner in commemoration of 76th Anniversary Shan State Day observed in Taunggyi on Tuesday evening.

Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye expressed his delights to holding the 76th Anniversary Shan State day celebration in a grand scale and presenting outstanding awards to those who are excellent in religious, administration, security and rule of law, agriculture, breeding, social and sports fields in the State.

More efforts are needed to have peace, stability and all-round development of Shan State. He also added that the MSME enterprises that are being undertaken practically to fulfill the needs of food and clothing in Shan State could be conducted to raise awareness to people and the Shan State Government will provide assistance to the needs of enterprises.

It was followed by the entertainments in commemoration of Shan State Day celebration and Pa-O, Akhar, Shan, Palaung, Lahu, Danu, Wa, Inn, Lishu, Taung Yoe and Koe Kang ethnic traditional troupes performed traditional songs and dances and vocalists from Taunggyi also entertained.

SAC members, the Union Ministers and Shan State Chief Minister presented flower basket and honouraria to the ethnic traditional cultural troupes and Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung presented honoraria to members of ethnic traditional cultural troupes.
