Commemorative block of stamp: Stamps featuring the traditional attire to be issued

As part of the efforts to revive and showcase Myanmar’s cultural heritage, special commemorative stamps featuring the traditional attire of Myanmar men and women from different eras have been issued.

The aim is to help the public and younger generations better appreciate and remember these cultural elements, and to provide collectors and enthusiasts with the opportunity to collect them as a unified set. A new type of stamp titled “Traditional Attire through the Ages – Commemorative Block of Stamp”, valued at 2400 Kyats for 12 stamps with 200 kyats each, will be available for sale starting from 9:30 AM on Friday, June 20, 2025.

These stamps will be sold simultaneously at the Central Post Offices in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, and Mandalay, as well as at the main post offices in the respective Regions and States. As a special arrangement, stamps purchased on June 20 (Friday) at the Central Post Offices in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, and Mandalay will be marked with a commemorative postmark showing the date.
