Collective Cleaning Activities : Kayah State CM inspected collective cleaning activities

The Kayah State Government is placing emphasis on implementing measures to make Loikaw, the capital of the state, a green and clean city.

In this regard, Kayah State Chief Minister U Ant Maw, accompanied by members of the State Government, inspected the receding water levels in flooded low-lying areas of Loikaw Saturday morning, as well as the collective cleaning activities being carried out by departmental personnel and local residents in Dawnoku Ward, Namkhut  Ward and Naung Yar  (B) Ward.

The State Chief Minister and officials inspected measures being undertaken to drain the remaining water from low-lying flooded areas in Dawnoku  Ward and Namkhut Ward; collective cleaning activities being carried out along Dawnoku Main Road by local residents, personnel of the Road Department and personnel of Development Department; cleaning activities along Yaung Ni Oo Road and the entrance road to Namkhut School in Namkhut Ward; and the excavation and improvement of drainage channels using machinery.

They also inspected water storage and overflow arrangements at Min Kyaung  Lakes No. (4) and No. (5), and coordinated with the relevant officials on necessary measures based on their reports and recommendations.

Afterwards, the State Chief Minister and officials observed and encouraged the collective cleaning activities being carried out along the main entrance road to Naung Yar (B) Ward by personnel from the General Administration Department, members of the Myanmar Police Force, members of the Fire Services Department and other departmental staff, it’s reported.
