Clean and Green Schools Program: Cash provided for participating school in Myitkyina

A ceremony to provide cash assistance by the State Government for implementing the Clean and Green Schools was held at the No.1 Basic Education High School in Myitkyina on Thursday. At the event, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan said that the Clean and Green Schools Program started implementation in the State in 2022-2023 financial year and the State Government has presented cash assistance for the participating basic education schools in Bhamo, Moe Nyin and Puta-O districts.

This ceremony is to provide cash assistance for schools in Myitkyina district. The Chief Minister stressed the needs to effectively use the assistance fund for the environment conservation of basic education schools in the State, nurturing more good practices and ideas on environment among the youths and creating more cleaning environments.

Later, an official of the State Environmental Conservation Department reported implementaton of the clean and green schools for 2022-2023 financial year and provided cash for the schools in Myitkyina district. After that, a video clip on the Clean and Green Schools program of No.1 Basic Education High School was shown and Scout youth students performed entertainments. The Chief Minister and party then viewed around implementations for the Clean and Green Schools and environmental conservation booths.
