China: trade volumes with Russia, Ukraine are up

China's trade volumes with Russia and Ukraine rose in the first quarter, a senior official said on Wednesday.

Overall trade with Russia from January to March was 243.03 billion yuan, according to China's General Administration of Customs, up by 27.8% year-on-year.

In the same period, China's Trade with Ukraine reached 29.6 billion yuan, a 10.6% increase from the first quarter of last year.

According to customs statistics, China's total trade volume reached 9.42 trillion yuan, up by 10.7% year-on-year.
