CBM Anniversary: Central Bank holds 74th anniversary panel discussion

The Central Bank of Myanmar held a panel discussion in Nay Pyi Taw to mark its 74th anniversary on Thursday. The event was attended by about 160 officials, banking representatives, and financial experts.

Central Bank Governor Dr. Khin Naing Oo said the bank remains focused on maintaining price stability, strengthening the financial system, and improving payment and settlement systems. The discussions covered three main topics: expanding digital payments, strengthening monetary policy and exchange rate stability, and building a stable financial system.

Participants exchanged views on improving digital payment services, promoting cross-border payment connectivity, supporting exchange rate stability, and strengthening banking supervision in line with international standards. The event concluded after participants shared recommendations and experiences.
