Capacity Building Upgrading: Refresher Course on Factories and Labour Laws Inspection

The opening ceremony of Upgrading Capacity Building Refresher Course (1/2023) on Factories and Labour Laws Inspection was held in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

At the event, Union Minister for Labour Dr Pwin Hsan said that the Ministry is implementing for increasing job employments for the sustainable development of human resources, strengthening labour market, supervising on the benefits including in the labour law, work site safety, implementation of social security project and minimizing disputes between employers and employees in line with the laws and rules.

The Factories and General Labour Laws Inspection Department needs to carry out to get the workers' rights and benefits correctly, ensuring work site safety and health issues in line with laws and bylaws. According to the current situation, field inspections are being conducted on the ground and the areas that cannot be inspected on the ground are being conducted online.

Awareness seminars are being conucted for employers and employees to understand the laws, rules and regulations enforced by the Ministry. Employers have a better understanding of labor laws and better workplaces can be developed in their factories and workshops through practical implementation.The course will be conducted for 10-day from 13th to 24th February 2023 and a total of 53 officers and staffs from respective regions and states are attending through hybrid system.
