Canadian tourist becomes Dominican Republic's second coronavirus case

in the Dominican Republic, Health authorities said on Thursday they had confirmed the second case of coronavirus in the country, a tourist visiting from Canada.

The patient, a 70-year-old woman, arrived in the Dominican Republic on February 22 and she is travelling with her husband. She has been transferred to an isolation room in a military hospital. The Dominican Republic's first coronavirus case was confirmed on Sunday and was also a tourist, a 62-year-old Italian man. The fast-spreading coronavirus has reached some 80 nations with more new cases.
