



Bus lines in Myeik Township of Tanintharyi Region resumed operation on the 5th June after road transportation was temporarily suspended to prevent of COVID-19 disease.
Each vehicle carries half of the number of passengers with double rate of charges and the passengers are instructed to wear masks and use hand sanitizer as a measure to prevent COVID-19 disease.
In-Charge, Shwe Wai Thu Bus Line, Pyae Sone Aung said “All passengers have to take necessary documents like medical approval letter and follow the rules to prevent disease. Myeik-Yangon bus line is currently operating with the guidelines of Ministry of Health and Sports.”
If a bus lines loads over passengers than the permitted number, it will take action and there are more than 60 bus lines in the region, according to the report of Information and Public Relations Department.
