Buddha Pujaniya Festival: Food Offering at Maha Muni Pagoda in Mandalay

64th Buddha Pujaniya Festival of Maha Muni Pagoda was held at the pagoda platform in ChanMyaThazi Township of Mandalay on Saturday. Member of the State Administration Council U Maung Ko attended the ceremony, together with the Chief Minister, the Commander of Central Command, Regional Ministers and their wives and officials.

After offering gold foils to the Buddha Image, the SAC member and party offered meals to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha led by the Chairman Sayadaw of Mandalay Region Sangha Nayaka Committee.

The congregation later received the Five Precepts from the Moekaung Monastery Sayadaw, followed by the submission of religious matters by the SAC member. They then donated offertories and cash donations to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha.

At the Food Offering Ceremony, the SAC member and wife and party donated alm foods,  robes, offertories and cash donations to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha.
