BTS cancels their April concert amid virus outbreak

Fans of K-pop superstars BTS were disappointed after the cancellation of the band's Seoul concerts on Friday as the Coronavirus struck South Korea. South Korean fans flocked to Twitter to express their disappointment - topping the Seoul trending chart with a hash-tag calling for a delay of the concert rather than cancellation.

A BTS fan from Russia said while she's sad and upset about the cancellation, safety is the first priority for everyone - including BTS and fans. Big Hit Entertainment said in a statement, adding that the global spread of the COVID-19 outbreak puts the safety of fans and artists at risk. The seven-piece band was scheduled to perform in mid-April at Seoul's Olympic Stadium to more than 200,000 fans.
