Brazil readies for arrival of China evacuees

Brazil is readying a quarantine zone on a military air base to house Brazilian nationals that are being evacuated from the Chinese city of Wuhan at the center of the new coronavirus outbreak. Two Brazilian air force planes are expected to return to Brazil in the early hours of Sunday. Some 34 people will be taken directly to a special quarantine zone where they will spend approximately 18 days isolated from the public.

The medical staff and plane crew will also be quarantined at the base in Anapolis, 93 miles west of the capital Brasilia. Brazil has had no confirmed cases of coronavirus.
