Bilateral ties: Union Minister meets Special Envoy for Asian Affairs

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe received Mr. Deng Xijun, Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 6th March.

During the meeting, they cordially discussed the matters pertaining to the further consolidation of the existing Pauk Phaw relations and cooperation, the maintenance of peace and stability along the border between Myanmar and China, latest developments on peace and national reconciliation process of Myanmar, and China’s continuous constructive support towards Myanmar development endeavours.

In the afternoon, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U ThanSwe, received H.E. Mr. Vinay Kumar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, at 1 PM on 6 March 2023 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw.

At the call, they cordially exchanged views on the matters pertaining to the promotion of the existing friendly bilateral relations, the timely completion of the ongoing development projects including the Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport Project in Myanmar as well as the further enhancement of mutually beneficial cooperation both at regional and international arena.
