Bilateral Ties: Meeting with the Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe received Mr. Mongkol Visitstump, Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 30 May.

During the meeting, both sides cordially exchanged views on further enhancing the existing bilateral ties and collaboration across various sectors in areas of mutual interest, enforcing the post-earthquake rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts. Also, they discussed ways and means to closely cooperate and collaborate with ASEAN.

Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister handed over the Commemorative Medals of Appreciation to Ambassador of Thailand as a sincere appreciation for the invaluable humanitarian assistance extended by the citizens of Thailand during the Mandalay Earthquake Disaster which occurred on 28 March 2025.
