Biggest container ship released to client in China

The world's largest container ship was delivered for use in China.
Designed and built by Shanghai HudongZhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., the ultra-large ship stretching out almost 400 meters long has a deck area of 24,000 square meters, about the size of three-and-a-half standard soccer fields, with a total carrying capacity of 240,000 tons.
The new vessel uses the hydrokinetic optimization technology to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and it will serve routes from the Far East to Europe. The builder told that they have received an order to construct a total of nine such container ships, and three of them will be delivered to clients within this year.
