





Hailing the 77th Anniversary Armed Forces Day, Dedaye-Tawkame-Kyonkyat-Thayar Gone-Thandee Zee Phyu Kone concrete road was inaugurated in Dedaye Township, Ayeyawady Region on Sunday.
This road was undertaken by the Rural Road Development Department of Ministry of Construction. Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister for Construction U Shwe Lay said that Ayeyawaddy Region is rich in rivers and creeks and over 4000 miles of roads that are constructed as the rural road network.
Over 2000 bridges and more roads and bridges will be built.The newly concrete road is a strategic one that is the gateway to the sea in Ayeyawady Region. This road is a 14-mile and 6 furlong long concrete road and seven bridges will be built on it. At present, a 4-mile and 2-furlong long concrete road, two 40-ft long bridges and one 150-ft long bridge have been completed.
The remaining roads and bridges will be implemented. Then, Ayeyawady region chief minister U Tin Maung Win gave a speech on opening the new road. A local spoke words of thanks to the government for opening the road and said that they would maintain the concrete road for long-term durability. The Union Minister, Ayeyawady Region Chief minister and officials formally opened the road. The newly opened road will benefit to 80 surrounding villages in Dedaye Township, 9,800 houses and 45,000 population.
