Benin president visits Niger amid regional tensions

Benin’s new President Romuald Wadagni visited Niger on Tuesday, marking a crucial reset in diplomatic and security ties. Niger’s government had previously shut down the border, alleging that Benin was hosting French bases to destabilize the country.
