Banking Sector: Yearbook closing discussion of Myanma Economic Bank

The 2022-2023 financial year Yearbook closing discussion of the Myanma Economic Bank began on Monday at the Myanma Economic Bank in Nay Pyi Taw. In his address at this opening, Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein stressed the important role of the Myanma Economic Bank for the country. Regarding the processes to be carried out in the financial year of 2023-2024, all the bank employees must work together to successfully implement the 6 goals set by the Myanma Economic Bank. He also called on concerned officials to ensure that the loans with low interest can be used effectively and efficiently without losing sight of their original objectives.

With the goal of reducing non-performing loans (NPL) and becoming quality loans, all bank employees must make conscious efforts to make these activities successful. The Union Minister also urged officials and bank employees to work together to be able to use an international level banking service system (Core Banking) to reach a cashless society from a cash-based society. The state-owned Myanma Economic Bank annually holds the Yearbook closing discussion. This one is set to take place till the 17th of February.
