






The ceremony for awarding National Occupational Skills Recognition Certificates by the National Skills Standards Authority (NSSA) was held Monday morning at the City Hall in Bago.
The event was attended by Union Minister for Labour U Khin Maung Soe, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, Deputy Speaker of the Bago Region Hluttaw, region ministers, departmental officials, and responsible persons from occupational skills standards committees. In his opening remarks, the Union Minister stated that employers should give priority in recruitment to holders of NSSA-recognized certificates, as they have successfully passed assessments conducted in accordance with established standards and criteria.
He also encouraged employers to provide appropriate wages, salaries, and job classifications to certified workers. The Union Minister, together with the Bago Region Chief Minister, then presented National Occupational Skills Recognition Certificates to 125 successful candidates from Bago Region and Mon State who had passed competency assessments in five occupational categories, it’s reported.
