AVIA Policy Round Table: Myanmar delegation attended the discussion forum

The Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA) Policy Round Table 2026 was held on June 16 at the MULIA Resort in Bali, Indonesia, with participation from senior regulatory officials, legal experts, and policy specialists from authorities across the Asia-Pacific region.

The discussion forum was organized into four sectors including Economic Impact, AI and Content, Online Safety, and Horizon Scanning. AVIA is a non-profit television and streaming video industry association operating in the Asia-Pacific region. It consists of around 50 organizations, including leading broadcasters, streaming platforms, content creators, technology service providers, and professional services companies that are primarily active across Asia.

The association works to strengthen the multi-channel video industry based on cable, satellite, broadband, and wireless networks, while also promoting innovation and sustainable development. AVIA also distributes video services, connectivity, and content to hundreds of millions of households across the Asia-Pacific region.

At today’s discussion, participants mainly focused on policies and regulations affecting the broadcasting and video industries. From Myanmar, Director General U Ye Naing and his delegation from Myanmar Radio and Television under the Ministry of Information attended and participated in the discussions, it’s learnt.
