Australians look to recovery after floods affect 60,000

The leader of Australia's most populous state and his emergency services minister helped clear mud and debris from a restaurant which had been impacted by recent flooding.That clean up happened as floodwaters continued to recede in Sydney and its surrounding areas.But towns including Maitland and Singleton in the Hunter Valley, north of Sydney, were still threatened by inundation.The weather system that had brought heavy rain to a vast swath of New South Wales was moving further from the coast out to sea north of Sydney, the country's Bureau of Meteorology said.
